MAGA now has a huge problem on its hands within their camp that they have created whether they want to believe it or not. With the latest murder of conservative media star Charlie Kirk, MAGA officials have been quick to blame the shooting on “radical leftist ideology” to incite division amongst the American people. But the truth is that ALL the evidence is pointing to the shooter being a far right incel. In our currently polarized system, it is easy to see how one would think this is left wing vs right wing. But it is clearly so much deeper than that and the seeds of division have been planted for years. Tyler Robinson, Kirks Murderer is a Groyper. Groypers are what id like to call “The Children of Hate.” To understand what a Groyper is and why they would be at odds with Kirk and other mainstream MAGA members even though they both fall under the MAGA umbrella you must understand their thinking. Led by rising media star Nick Fuentes, a known white supremacist, Groypers are the furthest right leaning group of White Nationalists who publicly and shamelessly adhere to White Nationalism, white supremacy, antisemitism and Far right Christian Nationalism. I have many of these same critiques for Charlie Kirk but Groypers are the most extreme of them all. Groypers are so far right that they make Kirk seem moderate. They use meme culture, trolling, heckling, and public confrontation with more mainstream conservatives to expose what they see as weakness or betrayal. And that is where the problem arises between mainstream MAGA and Groypers. Most people have not heard of Groypers because they live in the shadows. They thrive in anonymity. Chat rooms, spam accounts or the dark web these people who call themselves “incels” (involuntary celibate) operate in the shadows because they know their rhetoric is highly dangerous, highly offensive and dehumanizing. They know this rhetoric isn’t accepted in the mainstream and that is why they thrive in anonymity. Gropers are the children of MAGA. Most Groypers are 30 and under and their political careers and journeys are just beginning. Groypers have been born and raised in climate of hate, anger, violence and destruction being accepted and praised.
To understand why a Groyper would be upset with the Trumps and Kirks of the world, one must understand their viewpoint. Because of Mainstream MAGA’s proximity to White and Christian nationalism, Groypers expected Trump to “finish” the job. They see people like Trump and Kirk as too mainstream, moderate and willing to compromise with any non-conservatives. Groypers believe that any type of compromise with the other side is betrayal. Groypers believe mainstream MAGA’s approach on immigration, being Pro Israel and not America first, culture issues such as Gay and trans rights, interracial marriage and religious purity is too soft. They see MAGA and Turning point USA (Charlie Kirks organization) as part of the same establishment and deep state that Trump vowed and promised to take down. In 2016 it was clear that the Groypers were fully behind Trump because they felt he represented them and that Trump would use White Supremacy to bring the hammer down politically, economically and spiritually on its adversaries. A decade later, with Trump still being a huge player in politics, the pendulum has swung and the Incels now believe that Trump is compromised and part of the deep state. Groypers don’t care and don’t want to appeal to the broader world and media. An Ethno-Nationalist state of White Americans is their ultimate objective.
Tyler Robinson, Charlie Kirks killer was clearly a radicalized Groyper. Born and raised in a staunchly conservative, Trump loving household it is easy to see how Tyler Robinson became who he is, and we as Americans will continue to see this trend popping up and we will get to expose who these people are as more light is shined on the ideology. Which is the worst thing for Nick Fuentes and his followers. Like I stated earlier, these incels thrive in silence, not being seen or communicating via code or memes. With the latest exposure of them their cover is being blown and that’s why Nick Fuentes has decided lately to tone down his rhetoric of hate speech and criticism. This COULD be the end of the road for the Groypers but this is also America. White supremacists have been thriving for hundreds of years; this is no different. The only difference here is, Nick Fuentes is a coward who won’t stand on his beliefs anymore because he is scared now that he is exposed. Unlike previous white supremacists’ groups like the proud boys or KKK who wore clothing that identified who they were. Fuentes and his followers live in the shadows.
Although the news has not totally confirmed Tyler is a Groyper, one with any context to who Groypers are can see clear as day that’s who he is. The first example is the picture of Tyler doing the “Slav-Squat”. This is a famous meme in Groyper-culture that only a Groyper would even know. The fact that there are pictures floating around the internet of Tyler doing the Slav-squat can be a dead giveaway. If that wasn’t enough to convince you, the bullet casings at the scene had far right meme-driven culture sayings on them. “Hey fascist, catch!” a reference to a video game Helldivers 2 that criticizes fascism. Another casing read ““notices, bulges, OWO, what’s this?” A reference to a meme about online furry subculture and online role play. Nothing to do with politics really, but is a clear indicator that someone such as Tyler Robinson is DEEP into the internet, another clear sign of a Groyper. Another casing read “Oh bella ciao, bella ciao, bella ciao ciao ciao.” A reference to anti-fascism. A 4th casing read “If you’re reading this. You’re gay LMAO”. To the blind eye it may not be clear what political perspectives are being shown by these writings. But I am here to tell you, all the evidence is mounting. “Furry” culture or the subculture centered around an interest in anthropomorphic animals with human characterizes can be linked to Nazi culture. Around 2017, furry culture infiltrated Nazi culture. In 2017, rolling stone, Newsweek and the daily beast all wrote articles about how furry culture infiltrated nazi culture. Fast forward 8 years, someone like Tyler Robinson clearly was a part or aware of this wave of neo-Nazi furries. It sounds almost laughable to talk about out loud and take these people seriously. But the events surrounding Charlie Kirks death show these people are not to be taken lightly. Once again, the evidence mounting up clearly shows a direct connection between Tyler Robinson and Groyper culture. Now that we have established this attack coming from the right wing and not the left wing like mainstream conservative media is portraying, how does MAGA react?
It is true that far rights and far lefts have more in common than they think. Both are very intolerant to opposing viewpoints. Both groups of extremists have an “us vs them mentality.” Both groups of extremists have authoritarian tendencies of censoring opponents and sacrificing the well-being of others for greater good. Both extremists’ groups are anti-elitism and have a VERY low tolerance for uncertainty. This is called the Horseshoe theory. This theory hypothesizes that people of the far left and far right closely resemble each other like ends of a horseshoe and how they are close together. The only difference with far left and far right is that one side (Far right) are white supremacists nazis and the far lefts are normally decentralized autonomous groups that conduct damage or violence through harassment. I am not saying that far rights and far lefts will come together to take down the establishment democrats and republicans. I’m just pointing out how interesting it is that the two are more similar than they are different. My next question is. Where does this leave Trump? With his voting base now being fractured and this division being multiplied by violence, Trump eventually must try to either break ties with or take down this group of Groypers. Many people assume that a civil war or violent unrest in America will be between left and right. I believe that with Charlie Kirk’s murder by a clear far right winger, pandoras box has been opened and this fight will now be between far rights and moderate rights. The Far right Groypers are the children of MAGA who were born and raised in a climate of hate and division. These people are uncontrollable and unable to be reasoned with because of their heinous, dangerous beliefs. The rest of us who don’t identify as far right or moderate right need to get our popcorn ready because there will be fireworks from the two sides. A breakup is pending but America will have to decide who the winner will be. Will we finally be liberated from the establishment? Or will the Groypers be silenced and the establishment maintain control of the narrative and maintain political power? Will the left try to intervene? As time goes on, these questions will be answered but for now we can see MAGA is in turmoil and there has become a battle for MAGA’s ideology within the camp.
